| Subject: How Long would you play airsoft? Tue Apr 26, 2011 11:01 am | |
| Looks like airsoft has an initial life span on players.
Maybe you may realize that this is either a cool sport or a short fad in your life.
A brief summary:
A player goes into a store and gets a gun and a bit of gear and goes to a game.
After playing as a n00b for a while they mature and get more expensive gear and uniforms.
Many weeks or months go by an now is the initial focus on the matter of what keeps him or her going in the sport.
Some players actually drop out and quit, either shortly after day one because they were overly intimidated or could not keep up with the movements of the game or fund the expenses that were ever mounting on the sport.
Some players would hardly log into community forums or keep track of where the current games are happening.
Others would get burned out of the sport or fail to come for many reasons:
Loss of attendance.
Too Young and always need a ride by my parents
No ride
Cheating.
Player attendance was always low.-why go?
Getting bored
too many n00bs!
Its gotten political now!
Got a working job to do or school....(some other event keeps you away)
Its too hot and the weather is plain bad
We have no location to play at as far as I know
Have been distracted doing other things
Locations were too random or too far
Now physically disabled...I'm in the hospital!
Lack of Money to keep it on
a word from your parents kept you out!
The games were too short so why even bother to go?
Players were being an ass...Players are being un-hospitable.
Getting too old for this sort of sport and realizing the other players are all 15 year kids running and gunning on impulse, where is my crowd?
My girlfriend told me to stop! They shot me, you know, ...There!
Those that kept on playing kept in touch and kept current tabs on where and when airsoft games would occur.
They stayed active in the sport and took part in working on game fields and just plain hung out a lot.
