looking to get into airsoft

hello everyone, i'm anthony. i just recently got bit by the airsoft bug after playing with nerf guns for quite a while. i've been reading the forums for a few days and also checking out AEGs on evike and airsoftgi, which i wouldn't mind some help with.

any real differences? thoughts? get something else? lol

i own a colt m4a1 licensed by cybergun and it is really good. i have had it for about 6 months and nothing has happened to it except the other day the stock fell off...but that was cause the screw that keeps everything together came loose it was an easy fix. but so far its amazing...shoots far and accurate with .20's.. i would recommend this gun

Well first of all welcome to the forum
Now i personally own a JG MK36C and with just 2 upgrades that ran me for $15, it is amazing!

I also have a G&G custom carbine and it is pretty good. Just recently got it, and havent done much with it. But very effective on targets and shoots pretty good with an 8.4 imagine with a 9.6. It is fully upgradable and it does not come with the RIS but you can change it. Also they sell the full metal body for it, but all in all this gun is pretty good.

Are you only interested in M4's?

Combat Machine M4 Raider from G&G is in your price range and fully upgradeable

@xTwiiisteDx - well i really like the look of the M4 but I've been looking at the MK36C as well. i'll definately give it some consideration.

i would go for the m4 ris.

multicam wouldnt be worth it unless your gear involves multicam. it wouldnt look right mixmatching it.

and the moe is overused lmfao

My suggestion to you is not to spend so much on AEGs. They waste too many BBs! The real skill come in sniping! I own a UTG L96 and as a secondary an Echo1 P90. Thats the real skill, in sniping! haha I waste in a day about 40 to 60 rounds on my sniper and 300 rounds on my P90 which other guys waste 6 mags and a battery in one game...ummm? all they do is spray, dont follow theyre footsteps!(no offense to all of you guys, just a joke ) So become a sniper! Join the dark side! haha

lol nice recruiting! I wouldn't make a good sniper though.

If everyone played the role of sniper then WWI would still be going on.......

full metal is cool dude but its heavy. i do long day gaming and having a FM weapon would drive me nuts. if you want get a G&G CM DST, high impact polymer FM gearbox FM barrel assembly very nice @$140. i had FM thought it was cool then got really sick of it. it just a pain in the ASS hauling that shit around. IDK its just me im small so it was hard on me maybe itll work for you.

Multicam is HELLA expensive but VERY effective in semi woodland areas. BE CAREFUL dont o out get multi then see that a plate carrier is $104 vs my ACU one that was $75. EVERYTHING multicam is overpriced. so unless you got big bank rollin in every month either go basic tan or ACU. if ur looking for the camo effect, go MARPAT, then get OD Green gear still looks nice.

PLUS whoes makin the Magpuls? Magpul is a aftermarket brand, that is very good however the makers of the fully assembled guns can be shady. try to shop at evike, airsoft extreme or airsoft gi. those guys carry the real shit u buy from anywhere else you take a chance ive watched people pay good money for guns that say are 400 fps that turn out to be literally 150. buy instore at all cost!!

I agree. Multicam is seriously overpriced and somewhat hard to find, and magpul can be put on crap brands. And I only buy from Evike and Airsoft GI. I ordered $260 of stuff from Airsoft Mega Store (mag pouches, grenades, D-Boys Scar-L, magpuls, etc) and I had no complaints. I would never buy from any other store than those 3.

this came in on Friday! feels and looks awesome. i haven't been able to try it out yet because i need a deans adapter for the charger and i got a 10.8 battery instead of 9.6 by mistake. i ordered a whole bunch of other stuff i need as well, just waiting for it to get here.

i should hopefully be out on the field in 2 weeks. can't wait!

be careful to not get a 10.8 if the gun is a 9.6. you will overspin the gearbox and strip the gears. 10.8 is used for the bigger guns. BTW G&P are pretty good about reliability you shouldnt have any problems with them.
