The concept of hosting Early bird specials at airsoft venues.

I wanna say it and maybe the Owner of Battle town will back me up on this, as we were disscussing it.

Players have been filing in on Cuban time, no one really arrives early because they tend to wait maybe an hour or more before just about enough people to arrive before the venue could host a proper game, this actually does punish the early birds who arrive early by makeing them wait so long before they could get a game.

the trend has esculated to a point that now everyone arrives at noon or far later, trying to drop in on action, but the action time is not set or being enforced.

How about an EARLY BIRD special?....the concept of rewarding the first 10 players who arrive in the morning for a game could get in free or at a 5 dollar entree fee!

These games need players to attend games or the whole shit will be running on fumes!....Eventually, everyone wins when we all start retaking the time we play games on the field, and if you arrive early and was one of the first 10 you should be rewarded for leading the charge and not waiting for slugs and slackers who are holding up the sport!

Ok not everyone who arrives later are the slugs and slackers- I apologize as there are also responsible hard working people who cannot always make it early.

On the Face book post I got some rather negative as well as positive feedback, - negative feed back was unproductive and loaded with political childish crap....but I didn't wanna let this topic move on and get lost in the shuffle, conceptually I put it.....The venue is like a machine that requires starting fuel- You players are essentually fuel but require more fuel to draw in more fuel...the game is the fire and the bigger the game , the bigger the fire!

The idea is that you players fuel the machine but in order to draw in more fuel , there must be first enough fuel, otherwise the airsoft venue will sputter and choke running on fumes....I need the players more motivated to arrive early like back in the olde days at other places we hung out at!

I'm sure other venues have in fact done something like this to initiate starting game populations so that 10 am was certainly up and running with enough gamers.

Good idea, maybe the field could provide an early-late bird special to those who arrive earlier than noon, but later than the first 10 people? Something small, like an opportunity to a free entrance after multiple early-late bird specials (if you come earlier than noon, let's say, 3 times in a row, then you get free entrance the 4th time)

I feel like this is a good idea, but not something many people would like, at least from an economic point of view...

i think what Carlos (bt general) was trying to say is he is trying to place early bird specials on weekdays and other days that do not have good attendance so that it encourages people to go...if he has an early bird special lets say on Saturday when its the most airsofters he would lose money because there would still be the same amount of players as normal but he loses money because the first 10 people payed less...and yea there are players there early but it doesn't mean they are going to get games started because most of the time the lack of games played during the day and the lack of attendance is due to the players themselves not the staff.
