can vfc handle a lipo battery cause i heard there gears are self simacheem and that they have 8mm bearings or whatever i am looking at the m4 defender the short version

i personally dont recommend the self shimming gears unless its for lower fps and not on a lipo.

i have a vfc m4 and all i used was a lipo. it was shooting 418 with .25s out of the box. it only broke because i put an m170 in it later on. it does has 8mm bushings, not bearing, which is better for higher fps. and the gears held up fine except the sector gear and one tooth broke off but it was after i put an m170 in it

so if u leave the spring stock it wont have problems with a lipo then

the piston did strip before the spring but it wasnt till like 30000 bbs

yes it can. just about any good aeg can, i had expirence with VFC and it did do well with a lipo

Your call. Im getting a non 2GX tomorrow morning shooting 470 fps..and it takes it without a problem. from there i will install the V2 Gearbox shock transfer system for high fps guns. tacticalairsoftsupply.com. look under custom internal parts. these guys push 30+ rps at 400+ fps. or 7 rps at 600+ fps and thier gear boxes take it no problem just cus of that one little peice.

VFC has always likes to compete with ICS, KWA, G&G, etc. so they make good quality guns. how you treat it makes ALL the difference. for the trails and the hill. you will not need any more fps than 400. take it as is and enjoy. but if you put a lipo your gears will wear out faster. if you want 500 horses in your car, you have to be ready to change the tires....a lot.

how long you think they will last if i hold the trigger only 3 seconds for burts

No effin' clue dude. some gears wear out at 20k rounds, but the gear box may last on 3k. sometimes, the gears last only 10k rounds and the gear box lasts 30k. No one can tell you for sure. As for the Shock Transfer System, it is only there to make sure the gear box lasts longer...a lot longer. Your call dude. just remember to treat it well.

exactly, and remember that a gun shooting with an 8.4 or 9.6 does not shoot the same amount of bbs per second as a lipo, meaning that that 3 second burst on a 9.6 or 8.4 should only be a 1.5 second burst
