Looking for some suggestions on radios and headset gear. What works and what doesn't work...

Thanks,

Motorola talkabout package (2 radios/ recharge batts/ charger) and a PTT with ''swimmer'' style headset run about 110 total. If you can find someome with a extra radio you can always put batteries in the them and just buy the PTT and Headset and if you get the cheaper style thats 45 bucks.

As Repo said, a Motorola Talkabout is your best bet. As far as headsets go, use what is most comfortable. I tried the Swimmer style headsets and the bowman headsets and found them to be bulky and irritating for myself. Each person has there own preferences, so try some headsets out on the field before committing to buying anything. I will say to purchase a high quality headset though. Nothing is more annoying than having a crackling headset that doesn't work properly.

My current setup is the speaker mic that police use along with an Ear piece so that it doesn't broadcast to the world around me. I plan on switch to a PRIME or IASIS Throat mic though.

Hope this helps,
Brandon

I have access to a motorola CLS 1410 it has a range of 5 miles not sure how accurate that is. The swimmer style headset looks good but i think i'll end up going with something lighter/smaller. thanks for the feed back

Anyone going to RAGE Saturday???

i use motorola talkabouts and they are ok. i personally hate the head sets and use a throat mic with an earbud attachment. works good for me.

GO TO BASS AND PRO ONLINE, AND LOOK UP THE BEST RATED FOR MOTOROLA. IT'S VERY RELIABLE, AND EASY TO USE.
