help: bar 10 or l96

hi

this weekend i just tried sniping and i liked it a lot. i used my cuz's bar 10 and i have tried the utg l96 before as well.

i want to get into sniping now since i actually did better than i normally do with an assult rifle.

i did some research on both the jg bar 10 and the utg l96 and found out that both are amazing base guns to start off with, since they are both popular. i know that the bar 10 has a wider selection of upgrade parts than the utg l96. but the l96 still has a nice sized selection to work with.

i can get a almost used utg l96 with two mag and illuminating red scope for $100 shipped. or should i just buy a brand new jg bar 10 for $110 shipped. please help.

Pretty much, go with which ever one you want to use. When you want to upgrade the barrel, you should upgrade the hop-up in the L96 to a PDI. If you go with a Bar-10, then you could just upgrade the barrel when you want to.

Keep in mind, I have been hearing alot on other forums that there has been a shortage per se of bar-10's. When people are ordering Bar-10s online, some are recieveing WELL MB03's I believe. The problem with this is that the Well MB03 isn't completely compatible with the VSR10/Bar-10 upgrades. If you go with a Bar-10, just make sure it is a JG Bar-10.
