| Can use rustoleum cammo paint or Krylon cammo paint. you can get either from home Depot or Lowes. I dont think you need to sand the mag but not 100% on that. Also you can get camo paint from any surplus store and it holds up nicely as well. Hope this helps. | |

| You dont always need to sand it but what you want to do first is mist the paint on and let it dry so that when you go to spray on a full coat of paint it will stick and is less likely to drip or run!!! | |

| Yes, you have to sand the mag to open pores in the paint and create a surface that the paint can stick to. However, the first thing is the primer. I use a light coat of grey primer first, which is going to prevent the paint from lifting. After, I spray at least 2 coats of whichever color I am using. Make sure you let the paint dry between coats and be patient. If you handle the painted surface too soon, it will feel sticky to the touch and you can leave permanent finger prints on it. Leave it alone for a couple of days and you will really get a nice finish. I know you are only painting the mag, but if you do a good job, you will start to paint your rifles too. | |
