| You can build a pretty decent airsoft field but it can all go to shit if it is allowed to be run badly! I do not mean to bash anyone but I have witnessed some pretty lazy opperational management while visiting PB fields. Now this is constructive critisim...so I will tell details that will sting but it has to hurt some times if it is to heal! Players and organizers are both at fault here as well as a Lazy Latin Mentality!...GGGGRRRHHH! We had game officals only memorize a few simple games....Usually requiring more complicated games to be taken into my own hands. Refferees of course hate to deal with fights and thus try to keep it simple...Complicated games can produce confrontations.- there is thus a Lazy mentality. Difficult players attending ...some prone to always getting int arguements make it difficult on the refferees...I have seen the Refferees bend and buckle to the strain...If you allow this to happen then no one will respect your authority and they will walk all over you! Organized games can only be Organized if Authority to the Referees and game planners are respected....I have seen some pretty aimlessly run games...what are we, passing time! At the CQB city in California, there is a general line up and a call to attention before every game and detailed games are anounced... Seems like all airsoft games in California are all well Coordinated and conducted like the making of a well directed staged movie....as in Rome...do as the ROMANS DO! Right now both game organizers and players are so laid back on the issue that compared to the other place I could deem this field and a few others- Savage! In order to Instill some order I recommend a list to be set up to start staging a good set of game routines. #1 Establish a printout booklet of a total compiled collective of all games and scenarios to pick and choose... and of course have already prepared for them...Arrive ready to conduct the battle! #2 Games opperations should now be on a time shedule...about 6 games a day should be the quotta...start hosting timed matches that incorperate respawns so in general the time session is mostly fixed. #3 Refferees deserve your respect and require you to trust there Authority! Do not walk on them!...Its not cool trashing the order they are trying to establish on the field....It is sad to say that some of these guys are now avoiding all complex questions or dealings of any issues. #4 Refferrees need to Man up and start enforcing... at CQB City there is a Card issued for all who play....it is a 3 strike penalty and I feel that this card system had automatically established an aura of authority and respect....No one will want a shameful punch marking misconduct...I believe this system should take effect immediatelly! #5 Possible penalty box required or a cursing jar established in some manner would ensight refferees to stay alert and use their power to collect a penalty fine ... money will go to them and sting all who defy and offend! #6 I believe this should go in effect at all current new airsoft fields as a standard set up....to drill a well disiplined army of organized players and field organizers. #7 Horseplay and Joking must never be conducted by any of the staff!...By doing so you are saying it is now ok for everyone else....Your field will never be taken seriously! #8 Field Rules should be printed in stone!....There should be no doute about what is established and enforced...all must take pride in keeping to the code of the rules and game conduct. #9 Everyone should try to perfect each session, like diciplined soldiers! The Game turnaround and other details count... strive for cooperation and excellents! #10 You are all Forgiven!....Ya , even I am no Saint!....Time to open your eyes and see the light...notice the errors of our ways... I know we can conduct some organized games...I will need your help as it will only work if you all allow it to work! Pictures of CQB Opperations: Refferee on the podium explaining a game scenario... all players line up on command! We can Learn a lot from CQB CITY! | |

Actually it was a lack of established rules...and of course by not enforcing any rules! Can even say we are all sloppy!

| Funny seeing how I ask if players know what a Death rag is...Mostly half or less know what that is and even less actually bring them!
For now on we will also be Enforcing Death rags... PB Matrix field will be handing out Death rags so that players can safely play better.
Also the call of Blind man should be drilled.
This is a person who took his or her googles off!, everyone hearing this must call it out as load as they can and suspend the game until the blind person is protected with googles or has left the field.
Please respect and enforce good standards and the rules.

| I agree with all except rule 5. Don't get me wrong though, I wouldn't go and start disrespecting people (unless they disrespect me), or start being obnoxious, I always behave, but I'm not paying anything to anyone for saying anything. | |

#5 Possible penalty box required or a cursing jar established in some manner would ensight refferees to stay alert and use their power to collect a penalty fine ... money will go to them and sting all who defy and offend! You May have a point as I may have taken it to the limit but in proffessional sports, there are in fact penalty boxes and fines... just saying if the sport was ever held up to a proffessional level. we should not see this sport stuck in a rut and always left as a little leagues level sport. Cursing Jars and fines are optional ways to maintain maturity in the presents of children. on the other hand...An All Adult level game, Cursing may be entertaining and encouraged. Fines would only be conducted on violators who disrespect others ,as well as property damages... it is a complicated but doable rule that can be enforced if the particular field was a strong well established one. The Idea is to militarily train players not to cross the line!... Now Down and give me 20 soldier!

| Yea we need order in the game! A lot of people disrespect the refs. But then again the refs do play around and set a mood of joking around. I think we can all do better, and if everyone pitches in a little it will show a lot of change. We can all make this game, and this field more known. But it has to start with us obeying the rules of the house. In addition, CALL YOUR HITS GUYS!!!!!! It is not honorable for you to get hit and not call it. I agree with the dragon | |

I Disagree! What if that person running the fields is not doing a good job of it?! Maybe even Running it Badly or even wrong! Do step in and Challenge the system! In some cases, It is perfectlly OK to speak up and make the ideal corrections rather than let the field operations run its own course!... Do not be a Victim of your own devices! I am not saying all fields are run badly but I have visited other more proffessional venues so I feel it is only better to share ideas and it is very very American of us to admit any new ideas that make it even better to play the sport.

| The best advice I can give is simply set the example....
Dont take 15 minutes in between games loading one clip. Once you do finish loading your clip, start stating, IM READY to play. I have noticed that the refs wait for us to say..."We are ready to play"...hence whenever I go I am the first one saying lets go, game starting!
I guess what I am trying to say is that we all have our own ways that we can help the game. My forte is trying to simply get people out of the staging area into the field were a game can start.
So once you get out there, start hurrying people up a little bit and you will be surprised how quickly you can get games going.

Do not be a NERD!... You must pay the entry fee for the venue...it is only decent to do so! But The Venue owners may be too relax to host the more sophisticated games... In a way I already kind of took over PB matrix Operations but I expect you to pay and play, play harder! I already pointed out a serious waste of land and the bunkers we just built were no different from other athletes who may mod a field in other games to make a sport better! This is our Field of Dreams! ....BUT YOU MUST STILL PAY THE RENT!

....BUT YOU MUST STILL PAY THE RENT! I completely agree with SandDragon. Aside from using the field, the money can also be used for supplies to better the field. My only criticism is that the hosts should go through some kind of workshop or training in order to be more educated on the rules and procedures, for games other than death match.
