I already have put a Madbull m120 spring. and i was wondering what else can i do to increase the fps. i shoot right now at 400-410 w/ .20 but i wanna start using .25 bb so i kno its going to drop. i was thinking cylinder, air seal nozzle?

externals have nothing to do with internals, as for fps increase, replacing all the orings with better ones will help as well as getting a tigher barrel, and a full cylinder too

| the gun has a v2 gearbox thats hard to keep reliable without major overhaul. youre looking at getting a new gearbox shell with 8mm bushing. depending how much fps you want will be the extent of the upgrades. but honestly, dont waste your time. fps doesnt mean as much as people hype it up. its a marketing tool used by the industry to target kids getting into the sport and people who arent "educated" in the workings of a airsoft gun, whats smart, and whats needed. | |

| we just trying to shoot down the field with .25's. we arent getting enough range with heavier bbs.
we were going to add metal bushing's/shim,air seal nozzle, poly ported piston head/piston, and a aluminum cylinder head.
is the reinforced gear box shell really a neccesity?
if we had a cqb field around miami thats where we would play, but were stuck with playing fields.

if you dont have metal bushings yet, just stop firing the gun. with that tough a spring your plastic ones are already past due for failure so it could happen any moment now. but yes, metal bushings, a good shim job and proper lube, air seal nozzle, aluminum cylinder head (better seal and durability), you could put a POM piston head but id recommend aluminum, and a better than stock (polycarb or pom) piston with at least a few metal teeth, hop up bucking and nub (yes it will affect fps and give you more range at the same time), and a decent tightbore (6.03 or 6.04 is good enough). then you can up the spring to a m130 before having to worry about changing your gears and motor, just make sure you use at least a good 8.4 minimum, preferably a 9.6 (intellect batteries are great)

| ok I'm thinking a mad bull red hop up bucking, systema air nozzle, systema precision shim set, systema area 1000 bushings 6mm, shs cylinder head, systema tight bore barrel. i was recommend by a tech for airsoft barracks that shs 7 metal teeth piston and a modify polycarb piston head. or do you think this piston and piston head will do the job http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_148&products_id=5771idk if i should get a cylinder. | |

| You may want a proper air seel. Go with a type 0 cylender (non ported), an air nozzle with an o-ring. I tend to swap out o-rings in the piston heads. and YES! re-enforcing your gear box shell is a priority! cus plastic bushings wont last if your life depended on it. and I also recomend a decent hop-up unit or bucking.
The set up you just posted sound great. You really shouldnt have a problem with that. if you put those parts, you are setting up for a beast gun.

Thanks for the info the guy at airsoft barracks the tech said i should go with a non ported cylinder. he was also saying i could get an m130 spring, but i already have a m120. i would think that my m120 would be just fine.
