why do they annoy you? i used to be a man of hicaps, but after switching to midcaps ive never looked back, midcaps hold enough to hold your own ground, they are quiet and they feed reliably, not to mention that if your playing a role midcaps will fill out your loadout alot better and look better as well it also adds to milsim, i hated having a shit load of high caps and never switching mags the whole day

i conserve my ammo well and everything but i get tired of that stupid speedloader crap putting the bbs into it and then just putting all that crap into the mag i just get tired of it and dont like it but i just prefer highcaps ........

| Jester I dont even know what role im playing.... the First time i played i was having a hard time with the high cap mag im leaning toward the mids cause they dont make noise its more realistic in my opinion SandDragon let me finish my first theme then i will join your army with something I have brewing in my head that requires an AK | |

well if youre trying to play roles then look at your gun, if its an m4, go with midcaps, if its a g36E, rpk, SAW, M60, etc then definetly go for a drum mag else itll look strange. in my opinion the only non lmg type weapons that would look alright with a drum mag would be an m4 with a c-mag, a g63c, or an x-m8 with a c-mag.

Just to let ya know...If Ya get an AK type weapon... the Drum mag will make it even more dangerious as you can just pumpe endless streams of ammo and keep on shooting where other players trying to copy ya would have long since run out of ammo! The Reload system is sexy fast and fully automatic! It is not a cheap plastic drum...Full metal shit kicks ass! Anyone who sees ya with this setup will automatically want ya on their team as a suppressor and will call on you to make it rain and for you... when it rains...its pours! You will be up there in GOD status wielding more Lightning and Thunder! and for that only a GOD can piss off a GOD! You Know Im a Drum Fan!

| Its easiest to break it down in a Pro vs Con Style for all magazines. Low Caps Pro: Realistic capacity, no winding, limited chance to break if properly lubricated, Required in some Milsim Games Con: Low Capacity compared to midcaps which have all the same pros and more ammo capacity Midcaps Pro: No winding (can fire more shots before a reload than a hicap can before rewind), Limited chance to break if properly lubricated, Required in some Milsim Games Con: Low Capacity in comparison to hicaps (but yet again the reload time is compared to winding times) Hicaps Pro: Highest ammo capacity besides from a box magazine, Less tactical gear needed to carry extra magazines. Con: Winding times prevent constant shooting, Many parts that can break over time Boxmag Pro: Highest ammo capacity, No need at all to carry extra magazines Con: Tendancy to break over time, Another item to make sure has extra batteries, Sound function will wear down quickly so a pressure switch is needed for winding From my standpoint I think midcaps are best for ARs and the only weapon that needs a boxmag is a support weapon for the additional ammo needed to fufill the role. Micaps have no need to wind in the middle of a fight and have much less feeding issues when broken in all the way. Midcaps also make your loadout look better and if you go with PMAGS you can use ranger plates and have even less chances of them breaking (my pmags have been dropped and stepped on and have yet to crack or lose the spring follower). If you do wish to use hicaps the best are the flash ones that use a string that comes from the baseplate that is pulled a few times that will eliminate the need to wind the mag at all. The negative to the flash mags is that the string tends to wear as they are already selling replacements for them and they are pricey, because they are not offered in box priced sale structure. I do not believe box magazines are a good choice as they tend to wear out quickly and when packing for a game you need to bring even more extra batteries to power it. Also in the cons section I put up the fact that the sound function will wear out and a pressure switch will be needed. The problem with a pressure or constant feed option is that it may lead to jams or the feeding tube for the drummag being worn down. | |
