| Enforcing and using Death rags:
probablly half of the airsofters you would know probablly do not understand or know of the use of a Death rag.
Red rags are very affordable to cut and make ....You can buy several yards worth of red fabric and custom cut red rags for your entire team and maybe enough for all attending an entire venue in under 10 bucks worth of fabric!... I actually find it amazing how neglected this issue is taken and how badly it is seriously acknowleged as part of your standard airsoft gear.
This is a standard traditional red rag that is used to indicate that the player wearing it is already hit.
Its practical purpose is so that a Ammo is not wasted by the players hunting and that the dead identify themselves as dead so that there is no further pain and suffering!
Please also note that airsoft Machine guns blarring at full auto , plus any great distances often render calling out a hit very very difficult and some times it just cannot be heard with the included background noises and sound effects if any is blarring!
Some airsoft venues may hand out Death rags but these are not in any way soposed to be used as team ID tape as This color is universally used in all airsoft venues as the Death color....furthermore It is Important to note that the Color Red should not be used or must be in limited usage in airsoft outfits to avoid any confusion... in some venues red is banned in all outfits unless it is worn to indicate Death!
Avoid wearing anything red unless it has been agreed that it is not enough to Identify you as a dead person....of course If Red is extremely popular in airsoft outfits, then I suguest that the entire Venue cut out bright pink Death rags!....Point of the matter is that Death must be indicated and red must not be worn or abused even though it is the original traditional color of Death!
Of course Pink death rags could always catch on!- who would really want to wear pink! Outfits that involve bandanas also conflict with the death rag code, this is why it is so important to respect and value the sytem already established, otherwise you run the risk of getting further pummbled!
A Death rag may be worn temporarily in a game by a player who is not hit dead so that he or she may recover that expensive hand grenade that was tossed, after the item is recovered the person may hike back to a safe spot in control by their team and remove the death rag and continue.
It is however important that the use of a death rag must never be abused in a manner that is dishonerable to the sport!
A Death rag is best worn as a wide strip wrapped around your head and maybe more on your body, both front and back... at this point you should have no fear of being pummbled in the field.
You should actually keep about 2 on your person at all times, maybe even 3!...This would rap your head, one in hand or gun and maybe a backup for a friend who was also shot but lost his rag!
In the case of a situation where you have been shot pinned down under cover, attach the read rag quickly to the end of your gun or a stick and wave it like a flag!....You may further use this flag to turn corners while calling out" DEAD MAN WALKING"!
Do not be shy calling out Dead man Walking!...Do it frequently and like a pro, you probablly will not accidently be hit!
Of course there will be a few Idiots but this at least further reduce confusion in the field and save time, ammo and our egos!
Please do your part to enforce Safety and good established traditional airsoft standards.

This is not like a white flag you wave out fore surrendr though it should have been the case. it is already well established that a red rag is only to be worn and displayed imediatlly after you have been hit!... Other than that, you are to put it in your pocket until you think you are hit! The Color Red is also to be discouraged in your overall uniform.

Black will not work in a milisim game Mr. Death! considering Milisim situations and uniforms are commonly done in Black uniforms!- will not work at all at night or in dark areas so go to HELL! blue- too dark and useless in many cases and is no good if you are a milisim cop! White - the Color of surrender is also some times in Uniforms and is no good in some envirornments. Yellow- The Color of Cowards...Very rasre and maybe even more practical but was already in usage for referees. Pink- It is Bright but highly scorned in this sport, as practical as it can be it will never catch on by us Macho men! Red is not Common in Milisim Uniforms Although it is a color that may be in some part of uniforms it has already been nominated and chosen as the traditional Established Color to say you are dead!
