Bunker Mania

As you all know , we are hard at work making drastic improvements to the Matrix field . We do roll calls and so far its been the same basic team out there , which is cool since I know everyone has got their priorities and so forth which makes it hard to come to the builds. But their is one way everyone can pinch in . We would really like for anyone who has any ideas for bunkers , forts , pillbox or woodland bunkers , anything at all that you may think is possible and practical to post them here . Be it a drawing, photograph , video or explained. That way we can all feed off each others ideas and make the field of dreams that we can all come to enjoy.

Not a bad design!

we should build that as an example now that we will have access to so much multch!
Maybe it can even be built into the new Bunker design!

we will also need to order some sandbags if ya wanna try other designs that look authentic!

Lets avoid any designs that do not look authentic... no more plywood boards , nailed to trees!
It gotta look like battlefield Vietnam or WW2!

I agree , really want to phase out some of the less authentic looking designs over time and replace them with ww2 style bunkers which are some of the better looking ones out there.

I was talking to one of my buddies that played there Sunday from the Sheepdogs. He was telling me that the entrance is way too fortified. I have to agree. If we even out the opposite end, I think it would even the odds and thus make for very interesting scenarios.

Yea I spoke to some of the guys from the build team and we have ideas in the works which will counter act the over fortification of the American base. Any feed back we can get from players will help too.

Wolf I totally agreed. The "Dream Team" had an idea for that tower and we did a great job at it (round of applause). Only thing is I saw that to get to it was nearly impossible, it is really strong and it is an amazing base. So I told the guys let us build counter attacks to it. We are thinking of one man towers, bunkers, and pillboxes facing all directions but with the main intention of being a counter attack to at least give a possibility to the other team to take over the fortified base. Like Ron said, if you guys have any ideas let us know, we will analyze it see how it would come out, how would we build it and then get to it and make it for you guys. Also if any one has wood (2x4, 2x6, 4x4, and up are welcomed. Crates, plywood, and other wood is needed). We would love to make everything happen! If anyone has long screws that they can donate, we also are in need of these. We need plywood for the cqb but we know this might take a while since it is hard getting it. Thanks to everyone with your feedbacks and keep telling us how to make things better. It means a lot to me, lol I mean US!!!!!!!! jk really it means a lot to US (DREAM TEAM!!!!!!)

Great thread SoldierXDefcon, I also would love to see what input our fellow airsofters have so we can make our field of dreams.. you said it xTwiiisteDx donations is what we need to continue these EPIC build the DREAM TEAM are doing

you guys have most of the stuff you need for these type of bunkers.if you were to cut down trees, you can use the trunk of the tree for the legs that hold up the roof.

im waiting on my friend to let me know if he has his day off from work to see if we can help out for a couple hours, my license is suspended so i cant drive.thursdays are my days off so im just tryna see if my friend can come/take me.

I really like this one , of course we would use wood instead of concrete and we got enough mulch to have the same effect:

^ those would be awesome. alot of those bunkers can also be built with all the big trees chopped down. If the owner allows to cut down alot of the dead land not being used then there will be enough logs to make some serious woodland bunker.

Those are some badass bunkers. I already wanna "The Dream Team" to get together and think of ideas on how to make them or one of them. I think those will be a greay addition to the field.

Just remember to use a shit load of Multch and remove any dangerous objects as players will probablly dive into bunkers and This I encourage!

make it safe enough to almost walk barefoot!

If the Bunker is almost underground make sure it can hold the wieght of anyone who may be standing on it!.... Must be Monkey proof!(Idiot Proof)

Build the Bunker as realistically as possible- No Cutting corners or half ass jobs!

That bunker from that video is one of the most epic things I've ever seen. If we had that on our field , that would be extremely sick.
