| What guns should they use in the future. XM8, XM29 OICW, Remington ACR, AN-94, AEK-971, Rifles of the AK family farther up than the 74 (AK-12, AK 101, AK 108), Robinson Armament XCR, LWRC M6, Colt CM901, Heckler & Koch P11, APS amphibious rifle, Heckler & Koch G11, snd the infamous AO-63. These are most of the guns I could name off the top of my head that could be used for airsoft and would look cool. Tell me what you think and what gund you would want. | |

the XM8 was a failed american project, the ACR is in use today, and a lot of the guns you mention are in use in airsoft.

| I put my money on AK 74-FU2.....Funny name based on Black ops video game upgraded weapons!
But still there are still many fantastic weapons that have had a very long career in the armed services, take the 1911 45 automatic pistol!
Now as for Airsoft related topics... I would really like to see more and more airsoft guns with blowback action as well as the AEG types all really getting the full treatment.
Stuff expected as the sport and art evolves with time ...the airsoft gear could spew smoke blasts of powder and the Idea of electronic speakers built in that mimick the sound of the simulated gun being fired.
New standards in the sport that will make it a sport....so since all guns have to make a noise it will not be simulated with gay silent running and gunning!
The possibility of devices in the sport that could track BB impacts and call the hit automatically.
A built in camera in the airsoft gun that could take the picture when fired, maybe computerization that may even deny firing if it is a head shot or the airsoft gun computer determins that the target is too close or that it is not wearing eye protection!
- Of course these ideas are only slightly covered and will really depend on other geniuses to carry them out and fit such tiny technology into the airsoft gear and guns.
- one of these day , maybe old airsoft gun collectors will marvel at our old shit and wonder why and compare to what I just professed.

| A pp-19 would be cool, along with a 7.62x51 acr, I like how that large mag would look on the gun. A shorter length m82 like about the size of an m4(saw a pic of one on facebook on the madbul page). | |

silverback airsoft is making a pp19, I would buy it it's just a bit steep in price the more custom, the higher the price makes sense, what doesn't is how no one has thought of making a pp 19, or the kit at least. my next gun that i'd really love is the magpul pdr

- one of these day , maybe old airsoft gun collectors will marvel at our old shit and wonder why and compare to what I just professed. In the near future, guns will be using radio waves and lasers to tell if someone was been shot and there will be no need for bb's or sensor vests. Even if it isn't in our lifetime, we've seen something called the hybrid gun which uses real looking cartridges and has a small amount of gunpowder in it to make real smoke and sounds but fire bb's. It has a powerful fps at around 500 fps and up. Cap guns are also able to be turned in airsoft and make the real smoke and sound in a revolver. Their will be no need for speakers or powder smoke unless you want to keep the mechanism an AEG. I was actually looking for the looks of guns not the mechanism but both could be moddified in the future. Micro chips could be added to players to see were there are and how close they were when shooting somebody. But it would be to rsky for loss, breakage, hindering players game, or robbery. Sensory targets are made. I wish Matrix had them.

Idk about how I feel with not using bb's or any other type of non-lethal projectile not being fired

Idk about how I feel with not using bb's or any other type of non-lethal projectile not being fired Maybe it is better to evolve it to a form of hybrid laser tag.. This would thus combine the honor system as well as possiblly keeping track of a digital score. If it evolves to such maybe airsoft will evolve into a full on laser tag and we could all dispense with the complications and dangers of firing ammo and motor gear parts...the ammo simulated hits will fire straight and sure and not curve or bend in the wind. shooting through bushes may be hindered for the laser though so a hybrid system may be nessesary to deal with that. of course , i would always attend any game with eye protection.

| Having the ability to battle like airsoft but without the mess and cost of bb's is a gift worth charishing. Laser tag is better than airsoft because it simulates a real gun better than a bb (Range wise) and ballistic wise. I was thinking of using laser cap guns to give the feeling of a real gun but security of laser. The only problem with laser that bb's or real bullets don't have is that laser can't go through a single leaf. That can be solved though by using radio or ultra-violet rays instead of laser. Training air force reenactors use laser mounted guns on a plane and laser receivers at the other plane to test and train pilots the art of WW1 or 2 dogfighting. Infantry men like us could use the same training for fun. | |
