| Looks like Money and Location are the biggest factor in airsoft attendance.
I'm not certian what is the right price that a venue could host to ensure that the venue could expand and grow, not just servive!
Rebel fields , because they are free abandoned lots, offer no service and yet they could be miles away from civilization - I find it still interesting as to how airsofters assemble such games...It seems most fields here are still averaging about 20 people, even the free areas!
There are those airsofters who miss out entirely by going to the wrong location. It sucks to be at one venue location when another area suddenly got a lucky spike in action.
This is not a sport hobby like Surfing where you try to get the waves to yourself...for this beach requires the assembly of all the dudes in order to make waves!
Roll calls do in fact help...Uh, I don't really know whats the hot spot? Going to one venue may not help, even if you are reliable as a customer, there are all these other players that kinda go everywhere.
At one locationvenue, I saw too many dudes waste time waiting for more players to file in for a game during the early bird hours... this is damn punishing for them and unmotivating for anyone to drop in early so once again everyone wants to drop in later!
Finally after waiting an hour or 2 the waiting players decide to host games...the venue may be charging a various price, maybe too steep considering the possibility that the venue is not packed at all.
This sucks for a venue that has to kick start gaming action if there are very few attendees to host games with...In essence the field venue should at least secure 20 players so that any additional customers arriving will be not only be entertained but further motivated to pay for it.
I always see venues like some kind of engine that can only keep on going as long as it has the right amount of fuel...running a venue on fumes and taxing them the high price is demoralizing....I want all venues up and running at full capacity, players who really like this stuff should not be held back- give it your all!

| I forgot to mention the possibility of pay for what you play, Has any one figured out the worth of each game... What is it worth to you?
Figure out How many game sessions you usually play or would play and deduct that from a usual game fee paid at a venue.
would you rather pay for each game session like you were placing an order for a meal?
This idea might sound like a cheaper bargain that could counteract by drawing even more players who play on a budget.
So far I have only heard of venues charging a flate rate for all day games...20 or 30 dollars may be just too much for players arriving late in the day or when its just another one of those inactive days. | |
