| I'm new here but not to airsoft. I'm from California and moved to SF for work. I heard that this field you guys play at is illegal?
Is this true? | |

| We have been given permission to use the "private property" and we have been visited by a police officer who has given us instructions and good blessings.
It was only the final desicion of the security guard who is in charge to allow us to play.
we have been recentlly told to disband due to high paintballer activity...these intruders ruined our welcome but for a now It may seem that relations are being healed but the guard warns to keep this party small.
It is LEGAL until they say its not!

It is LEGAL until they say its not! Wait. A security guard? So one one has a written statement from the county or landowner to use the land? If the answer is no, can someone please point to a LEGAL (written permission from land owner or county) field? That would be great. Thanks.

| South Florida, well until recently, has been sorely lacking in legal fields. Local government has been reluctant to help local buisnessmen who would have gladly set up a legal field if given the opportunity.
I saw your from California and I can see why you ask these things are legal fields are all over the place there and illegal fields are handled pretty harshly, but they don't really persue people playing on unauthorised fields as much here as where your from.
Currently there are two LEGAL fields in the works. One is a awesome cqb building, that apparenly is huge from what people say, and the other is going to be a woods field thats over 7 acres.
If you don't want to wait for either to open you can take a drive up to Hollywood to Rage Paintball on Saturday nights. People usually show up around 7pm.

Thank you Repo for your intelligent, well versed post. Yes, in Cali we have only have privately owned fields. It's ashame that SF doesn't have that many. Probably because its not so popular here yet. I'm in no mood to be fined or arrested for playing airsoft. So you can see way i'm a bit persistent. I don't understand why Gonzalo would post that. I'm just trying to stay on the legal side of the law. Is there a roll call section for these fields? I didn't see on here. Thanks.

| Eh....the new fields are being worked on by Streets/his crew and Shooter/his crew. The site that had a rollcall for Rage and another south florida airsoft have both been laid to rest. There are a few other legal sites but they are either way north of you or kinda horrible. Like I said if legality is your main concern and you don't mind the drive go to Rage on Saturday nights at 7pm. Rage isn't the best but its legal.
Hopefully the CQB field down where you are and the woodsfield up farther north will both be up and operational soon. It will be great to be able to play outdoors when its nice and indoors when its burning hot or cold.
Its not that airsoft isn't popular down here its that the local government has its issues with the sport because they relate it directly to paintball players. We all know how intelligently the paintball players act in this area lol.
