Okay well, day one with the new rifle, donated by Spartan to the team sniper...cant go wrong with that at all. However for the price of this rifle, I was a bit disappointed. Let me go through some of the good features before hitting the bad.
The Good:
Scares the hell out of anyone that sees it on the field
Amazing range and hell of a hit. You definitely feel the 8mm BB hit you for sure. Even at 100+ feet.
A great replica in regards to production and the full metal body can definitely take a beating.
The Bad:
First and foremost - THIS THING IS HEAVY! Not the kind of rifle you want to be running around with for sure. Call of Duty it is not. hehe But if you are running with a sniper rifle you are not playing the role properly.
Bipod was flimsy and actually needed to be welded before being brought onto the field. Welder tech did a better job fixing it.
Bolt actually jammed, luckily at the end of the day. There are two springs that seem to be too small in diameter and are causing two "pins" to move and jamming the bolt. Had to take the entire gun apart to get it together again.
Hop up needs some serious shimming and adjusting - Every few shots had its on path, but when shooting straight...watch out!
So as you can see as of now the bad outweights the good, however Im sure once I figure out all the quirks she will perform top notch. Only to be used for special events and when the mood calls for it. This is still a beautiful rifle regardless and whether its used on the field or not, definitely glad to have it in the collection.
