Dangerous Airsoft Acts

We need to keep airsoft safe meaning we need to start flag unsafe airsoft videos, If u search "airsoft prank" u find alot of little kids shooting each other with no eye protection as well as shooting the guns in public at random people, at cars, and at pets we must flag these videos because these acts are dangerous not only for themselves but for the whole airsoft community. People abusing airsoft is the whole reason SB798 is around.

Its something a couple of groups on facebook are doing as well. Shwell and a couple of others are working on that. Echo 1 has commissioned the SFAA to make a safety video. i.e they are sponsoring the video for us and we will be touching a few pointers about safety and police involvement.

Being that we have the County and industry backing us, it would be fitting to work on something to help raise awareness. Especially considering the next couple of events that the SFAA has planned. Something to help publicize the sport if you will. We have a great writer working on a press release all the way from the West Coast of the States.

Now is the time for our community to work together, especially with the South Florida Airsoft Association. We have lots going on right now and a backing like no other.

More great news to come.

And to add, SB798 was not just formed because of people abusing airsoft on videos, it was formed because there have been too many incidents where police have been involved and the players using said replicas did not follow direction. Accounted to the fact that they were playing in an illegal area, but it wasnt the filming of it that was the problem it was the lack of obedience.

And far too often you see local Florida players using their replcas in the middle of the street. I have witnessed this first hand by older players who are trying to set some sort of example to other players. So before we start acting globally we need to focus on the problem locally first.

While SB798 does not effect us directly, it is up to the community as a whole to set the example. On and off the field, even on the forums.

I have too witnessed "kids" playing on the street, now i know it can be anyone bing irresponsible, but its mostly kids, and I'm a "kid" too (not anymore in 8 months!) , so i can call them out

They were shooting in my neighborhood, and this isn't in homestead, or anything... it was in the middle of suburban Doral..... cars and all. I obviously walked up to them and gave them a good rant, they were even wearing any eye protection. when i was done with the rant, i asked if they wanted some info to play in legit-er places, and they declined... that really pissed me off....

But oh, well.... can't deal with everyone

Anyways, the press release is a great idea! Im glad Echo 1 recognizes other places apart from california lol... its time they branch out over here....
