| Games with spawn points will not work well if the game planners set it up pretty badly.
In concept the game should be pretty fun until the glitches are found!
as the Game progresses one team may soon over whelm another and the problems soon arise.... In many cases the spawn points are actually camped or are too close to the bases that are being captured.
Players may actually bunker down at a spawn point in a pathetic effort to drive them back!... even assuming Imunity!
Spawn bases may even be captured by a flanking team! Basically if the game is conducted wrong the Idea of games with spawns becomes broken... I will have to retrain and reset the field as well as have referees stationed at spawn points.
Well Heres how CQB City Does it....GOD DAMN SAVAGES!
There are always referees watching at the spawn points. In Fact, The Spawn points are actually more heavily patroled by referees!
Spawn points have a 50 foot boundry and cannot be aproached by the other team... in CQB Citys, case... They have parking lines marking the floor.
Players at CQB City are always used to games with respawns...Death match is not often conducted so the players are better trained and behave better.
CQB city spawn points that I saw have a bunker that is generally not to ever be stormed...I only had an issue about the sniper towers... a referee let loose new refreshed players out in waves.
Players at spawn points may not be allowed to open fire or are limited.
The Spawn points are multiple and in an area usually in the far corner of the field...entry back into the game is held by a referee who allows players back into the fray in waves and there is sufficent starting cover.
Battles at the spawn point area are often put down by the referees... the buffer area is to remain cool and no one is to attempt to shoot into the spawn point direction from any distance!
All players must acknoledge a fair play conduct and allow their enemy bird to leave the nest properly before killing it...It is Taboo to Camp too near the spawn so make an effort to Move along and get away from it.
We can Apply this of what we learned by recreating the way they conduct the game.
Our Airsoft Referees will have to be trained to watch the established spawn points and position them in an area directly away from the bases.
Maybe a boundry line needs to be marked or drawn.
Players at spawn points may not be allowed to open fire or are limited.
All Our Players and referees new to this will have to train hard to get it right!
there must be no exploiting a glitch in a spawn type game... In theory it must be addressed if discovered and ironed out so it is all within fair play when the tables are turned!
We must attempt to not play LAZY SIMPLE GAMES!....or at least not overly simple! players should all attempt to try role play tactics and take objectives as well as timed scenarios.
When a game is being played there really should be no changing of the rules or any alterations called out by referees....some players will even think that their judgement is in question and we cannot allow that!
Referees can alter the game as long as it is conducted fairly.... for Example... Allowing more or less game time in a cold field.
Unlike some messy places I visited the spawn points must honestly be in use ...players must fully coross the respawn boundry lines and follow the game rules.
You also as a player must enforce the respawn rule by seeing to it that all players hit honor the game by not cutting corners and falling short of the respawn point...They must enter and wait before a referee allows them to respawn.
All this will work if you all make the effort to help it work!

| why dont you do spawn points battlefield style?
put up a primary spawn point, and in any case that that spawn point gets taken over, put a secondary spawn point farther away out of bounds.
for example, theres a spawn point near the entrance to the field with the big base set. if the base gets taken over the team can spawn on the other side of the field where the owner usually parks his boat near the house.
the spawn point in the back of the field is in the back left corner. if that gets taken over then that team can spawn in the back right all the way were theres a clearing in the trees.
if i had a map or diagram of the field i could easily draw up what im thinking.

A Secondary spawn will have to take place at maybe that trail cave tunnel entrance and one on the Concrete structured spot...Players can thus choose where they would like to spawn so they can flank back into the game! There are also Multiple areas to spawn on the other side of the map at other bases but Those games must further be established in the minds of the Referees in order to conduct flawless games. I actually hate it when they slap a game up together and with very little thought into all the details... we will get it Ironed out!

| I do not see why you guys are making such a big deal about respawns. If the base gets taken over, well, then you just don't respawn. You are a POW. Your team has to come and rescue you by killing the guards. The field is too small to restrict it with perimeters around spawn points that could yield some good gun fights or objectives. The referees could also encourage or influence other players to make it a priority to re-take or rescue hostages at spawn points. Just tell the players that their base is taken and I bet you they will focus on taking it back. If I can cut off the enemy supply I would make it a priority to do so every time and at the same time, protect my own spawn point. It adds another dimension to the game that you have to plan ahead for and be aware of. This also eliminates the neutral areas in an already small playing field. If you want neutral, no-shooting zones... go reload outside! | |
