| Long story short, I have a scar, and not sure if high speed is worth it, it'll take some amount of money for upgrades, then I'll most likely have to buy even more parts if the others wear down.
What are your guys' opinion on high speed builds? Really on the fence here...

| high speed will take its toll on your gun.. ive had every setup and unless u got $$$ u will be breaking parts or burning wires or batt.... best thing is to find a medium in ur gun.. bb per sec and fps.. | |

That seems like a good idea... I'm going for somewhere around 15-18 rps, any idea how much fps i should use/what spring to put in?

| depends on what u mean by high speed. some peoples idea of high speed is 25 rps.. some think it is 65+ rps.
i don't think they are too reliable.

i don't think they are too reliable. well, i've seen what they do, and for me, i don't need a gun that shoots more than ~20 rps. by the time you shoot over that you're just filling the gaps between the bb's that are hitting the guy, so around 15-19 is perfect
