| The loss of Local airsoft shops may not be the end of the world for some airsofters but it was indeed a great motivating factor for new potential players in the sport.
Players would indeed hang out and wanna look and hold potential gear. Asking around for airsoft games was also very much a real life forum of who ever walked into the door to talk airsoft and stuff.
With a physical store in location, this would draw in many players unfortunatelly with less stores hosting in the area and more people buying stuff online, it really cuts into the buisness of being a good patron for the sport.
Basically it could also self destruct the whole hobby if venue stores finally gave up...End of an era basically!
Shops do in fact represent the motivations of customers, If you do not buy anything, then it will be gone!
This is probablly not like if one closes, another may take its place kinda deal.
Those who stayed and kept buying airsoft stuff online for the deals would eventually only be left playing people who do it as well, Im not saying this is all bad but it could put the sport and hobby further underground. Maybe even less people will be found playing.
Generationally speaking, maybe the hobby will grab a few players who ideally may play from teens to their late 30s, maybe more if they are not overburdened as time goes on.
Airsoft in Miami may be just a back water compared to other regions. I feel that Airsoft stores and paintball shops were the diplomats and first line representers that would often greet potentually new people, they may be charging more than what could be found online but that is just buisness.
Airsoft venues of any kind, being shop or field are flying our banners- we should be keeping those going so that we in effect maintain the sport some kind of official presents.

its a lot easier to physically show people airsoft than just talking about it | |
