there is a lot here so i will leave my face book account with all the photos with text. this is the airsoft related and crye gear coming down the pipe. i certainly think that new helmet type mandible will easily be cloned.
https://www.facebook.com/DRKairsoftI'm here at the Sands Expo Center for Shot show 2014, The worlds Premiere Firearms and Law enforcement related convention for all the new concepts and products. Airsoft for many years in a row has but several booths. The Core brands are all here; G&G, ICS, KWA as well as the license Kingpins such as UMAREX & ASG.
There is also Spartan imports and there is some smaller airsoft unknown brands i saw here such as JRAK industries.
My First Stop was to not an airsoft manufacture, but to KRISS. why? Guess what, KRISS is getting into the airsoft market. The company name will be public soon but it will start with a K. I will get to see more once i head to MGV (Machine Gun Vegas) on Thursday with them.
G&G has a lot of interesting things coming out this year. A 24K gold AKM that is EBB, MSRP is $700 (i'm already down for 1) with an eta at end of year. it will come with a custom wooden case, it will also use their new battery system in the lower handguard.
The much talked about VSS is coming out in August as an ETA, the Blond wood is NOT the final production color.
they are entering the support gun market.... with a MG42!!!!! while not super spot on, its their first support gun and a great compliment to their ww2 market.
Speaking of which, their ww2 guns have expanded. their coveted M1 Garand is being hotly contested on the WW2 airsoft forum. ICS Garand will have 42 round magazine while G&G will have 200, BUT G&G has a tanaka-esque engine springfield coming out. So, finally if you ask me. there will be more WW2 airsoft games and really Korean War airsoft. Which i have barely heard take place in the States
G&G has this new thread on barrel tracer, chrono and laser that will be used in a HIT CONFIRMATION system they have been working on. it has a built in 600 mAh USB rechargable LIPO battery. it will work with a PASGT looking helmet that has rails on it. similar to the Military MILES laser system.
I got to try out the new Gen 2 M.E.T. targeting system. it was pretty cool to do the target shooting. i see it being a hit at your favorite local indoor place for competitions. G&G is sponsoring one in Japan, France and ending in Taiwan. I have to say that G&G has really outdone themselves this year. its one thing to pump out m4's like a queen bee, but at least they are coming out with new concepts. I would rank them #1 in the brand name manufactures
Tokyo Marui is also as shot show, they were spotted and came to the G&G booth yesterday. It was a pack of them and you couldn't tell until you read their pass badge.
KWA. they have really shifted focus on gas, where as G&G is more an electric brand. The vz-61 skorpion that is GBB and will have 2 magazine sizes. 21 and 40, great for an insurgent 70's-80's look.
As reported by airsoftGI first, they have a gas mp40 coming. no stats posted but it's in 6mm vs the Marushin one put out a few years ago. the *vintage* looking polymer on it though, looks heavily like AK Plum furniture. i really think they should of put that color in their AK line.
The Makarov made it, i cycled the slide a bit i feel it would be very snappy. like a PPK, but i feel the lower will not handle being used as a bottle opener.
KWA is releasing a GBBR/P bullpup that will use their ATP magazine. while the photo as 3 bullet markings, they will make it semi/full auto. As to when? When it's ready.
Crye Precision, Most players are a huge fan of them. At their booth when they saw my media badge for airsoft retreat I struck up a conversation on how much sales growth they had. the remark was they weren't expecting such a large portion of their earnings were going to come from that genre and annually increasing. so that says something, but that 1 case out of how many?
I have a sad feeling this will be cloned.
here is a weapon they are working on, the six12 cylinder shotgun. i see airsoft in the future.
