had i known i was playing bf3 the majority of the time, i probably would've gotten ps3. but i got my xbox back in the mw2 days, where i played cod4 a lot, and cod4 on ps3 is shit

here's my perspective on it. i've only had xbox, but worked at gamestop for over a year and coworkers owned playstation. in my opinion, PS3 has slightly better graphics, and their discs have the ability to hold up to 2.5x more content than xbox.

also, ps3 has free online play, which is a double edged sword. the huge hacks of last year, plus occasional lag seem to balance out the free internet.

as for xbox360, i got cause most of my friends had. gears/halo are pretty cool but nothing to buy an xbox for. the red ring of death is kinda like KWA products. some people get lemons, while 75% never ever have problems (myself included.)
also, the quality of the internet is great, but at 60$ a year, it gets expensive, really quick.

anyways i don't think any system is better than each other, it's mostly biased opinions. they're both good!

now go play some airsoft. Razz

i loved Xbox Live but i LOVE the blueray of my PS3! i have, side by side, compared both systems and the xbox is grainy as fuck next to a PS3. ya the PSN is shit but its free so yea i know its really shitty lol. but i dont even use online gaming im a movie freak ive watched AT LEAST 50% of netflix by now. plus my friend and i bought our Xboxs December 2006, by June both of ours were dead or dying. i bought my PS3 that july for 405$ (back when they were HELLLLLLAAAAA EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!) and its still runs. my friend... has stayed Xbox and is on his 7th Xbox lol.

I look at it this way:

PS3= Excellent Software/Hardware. Durable. Updated (i checked sony throws in new video cards and processors when they become available) has fail-safes integrated (so the CPU cant over-heat, harddrive crashes are minimial. (if a disk is not being read well, the PS3s actually pick up the disk, clean the lenses, then sets the disk back in place, usually fixing the problem.) but PSN sucks. not as easy to get parties going on a PS3, plus the store isnt so filled. Lag in High-Bandwidth allocating games. Very limited.

Xbox 360= decent Software/Terrible Hardware. Obsolete (an Xbox has SO much potential to be a fast updated system.) has pretty well integrated 3rd party apps like Netflix. Xbox Live, you get A LOT of bang for your buck. Features work well and theres no lag. you can connect to Live insanely quickly.

if the Xbox, even the new ones, were better built/had better safety features, id buy it again. but i know within a year i will have to replace if not one part the entire system. i dont like the build quality of the Xbox. theres a reason everybody knows what the Red Ring of Death is, but barely anyone knows the YLOD.

in the time ive had to decide what to get, ive used both xbox and ps3. what ive gotten from xbox is that everyone is either a little girl or come from squeaky voice land. oh and also apparently everyone on xbox has fucked my mom lol. even now when i get on it i rape face. Its NEVER a challenge. Why pay for internet to play half ass games. The internet is basically the same. Xbox gets the same lag ps3 does. As for hacking, if anonymous wanted to hack xbox itd be fucked with less people trying to get at it. Plus if youre going out of your way to fuck with something youd make eure it wqs worth it.

The ps3 controller is a normal controller, not some melted plastic looking thing molded to the hunchback of notre dames hands. As well as the interface is wqy better.

Not only that but the ps3 has way better exclusives. Cant argue that, since xboxs exclusives include tears of war and halo1 repeated about 4 times with better graphics and new maps.

Lol red rings is a permanent dead system while ylod is fixable. My ps3 has gotten ylod 4times and each time ive been able to fix it easier than opening up a gas pistol

i will admit however that there are two things xbox has better than ps3. You can get them dirt cheap since everyone is selling them (i wouldnt mind using one to shield my ps3 from dust)

And xbox has alot of cannon fodder noobs to shoot up. Could be a pro or con depending how fast you get bored of it

PS3 only games are beast have you tried the new uncharted? FUCK ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!!

i loooooooved socom for my psp, and ps2. fucking badass lol. and metal gear when it was ps exclusive. not that metal gear rising ninja power ranger sh*t that they're making now though.
