with enough speed everything can break. if you take a hard stick and smack your arm with it it will fuck you up, if you swing it hard and fast the stick will break and youll only feel a small sting.

same with a board of wood. punch it regularly and it wont break, punch it with speed and strength and that shit will break in half.

sure a melon going slower would fucked her up even more, but a melon going as fast as that did would have been enough.
