For those of you all not in the know, I paid a recent visit to Stockton Californias CQB CITY airsoft facility tactical gaming area.

Although the field area can thus be replicated, what I found out most noticable was an air of serious organization of the sport.

All players attending knew some kind of routine.
, They were all in effect-like sailors on an old tall ship of a by gone era, each knowing the ropes and their duties.

Aparentlly there were already some serious set rules and commandments to follow.

At CQB CItY, the facilitie from the moment it opens its doors till closing time,It will Host several timed games in a manner of which it is like you are watching several scenes in of a movie.

Players attending are all often drilled to quickly load up and stand at attention and ready and waiting in a soldier line up....Kind of like being in Class Home-room!

The Referees often Bark, and they all do!... all are donning bright red shirts and the proper gear.

Looks like California has a serious leg up on organization of the sport!
I figure,We should get something like this going but it will probablly be very hard to get people to change their ways.

We got people dropping in and arriving on "Cuban time"

Very short attendance on game day or a sad wasted usage of the day.

Gangs of players often do not show any respect for those trying to get organization going- Are we all just Clowning?

Very, small attendance, as well as bad communications for game events.

Lack of Players attending the Forums or spreading the word to thus drum up more airsoft buisness!

I do not see an instinctive motivation to be quick about turn a rounds in games.

If I was Captain of a Ship I would probablly run a hard tight ship because you cannot expect it to be automatically run by just "the CREW"!

The Players here are just like "the CREW", left to their own devices they would run things about in a laid back manner and would run an old sailing Merchant vessel of lore off course, late, or crashed upon the rocks after having found and broken into the chest of rum!

The real question will be-

Is Airsoft going to get to a Serious level in Miami and the neighboring areas?- This would be in both Physically as well as Mentally!

Serious Designs can all be drawn up for all sorts of airsoft fields but It would really be up to all of you to rally up and hold it all together!

Also a good map and compass on the topic will always ensure that we will would find our ship not off course and crashed upon the rocks!

I for one just joined the sport and can say that you are right in how the Californian's are running the sport. That being said I think (in the short time) I have observed main stream outlets carrying equipment that otherwise would never be seen, being placed in well traveled areas. I am using Sports Authority as an example. For the most part out culture down here is cuban time but, what I have learned is if we lead by example others will follow. Whether that means exploring a new field by yourself or flying out to the west coast to see how they operate over there. I never knew of this forum and I believe that there are lots of people that don't know of its existence. I have found this forum to be very rewarding with knowledge, and this is what allows the sport to grow. The roll call for one I believe is a great avenue of communication. I think that even a phone text group would be a nice reminder for people not getting on the forum regularly. And lastly, I will echo your previous statement and mine...be prompt and on time to get games going.

People tend to listen to authority, in this case... Referees more than fellow Players... I also don't see this problem hapening in pmc....they are stricter. It's up to the field referees, lik in PB matrix to get stuff going. I fee unless we get some management in fox hole, there wont be much happening.

Well At CQB city it actually costs 30 dollars entrance fee pluss god knows how long residents in California travel to get there!

Additionally rented gear also factors in a serious cost.

The CQB Facility has a 3 point punch card system where every playing player has been issued a game certificate - A TICKET- of proof of purchase, on it are 3 punch holes.

Each punch mark is an indication of that players status and if a referee were to punch mark them all, it would be a 3 strike and you are out system.

Now at FoxHole, the place is a reble field run by any arriving players....In this case some one who is playing may actually volunteer to conduct games, often even stepping down from actual game play to even marshal or keep track of a timed scenario.

Conducting players may often be ridiculed as a steel iron-fisted Dictator!

You need to attend events across the state of florida first. You cant compare renegade fields or even the fields you frequent here in Dade County to California.
We have zero places that are dedicated to just Airsoft here.

What you said only tells me what I said about organized airsoft fields in California, compared with the disordered field operations in Florida and the Miami area.

Sure ! Florida doesn't seem to have any hardcore dedicated fields.

So far I am saying that as far as I know the west coast may deem us all Savages in the airsoft sport!

I believe that airsoft as a sport here will organize as soon as it can be made more general to the public of a good location in the Miami metro area or somwhere in Dade or Homestead.

If we can even gather crowds of people to attend an airsoft festival, it would bring about the kind of people who would have collective experience in leadership, tacking on rough guidelines to operating as well as building airsoft fields,

Also a huge increase in the staggering numbers of growing airsofters attending any one single field would greatlly contribute to its growth!..... if we could all organize a rally to pull them all in , the collective contributions from such massive airsoft parties could justify further enhancements!

I would probablly also draw in more player attendance if also some of the money pulled in was used for a contest drawing for an airsoft weapon like they often do at CQB CITY in California...but this will all only happen if it ever gets organized!

as the saying goes... In Rome, do the Roman thing!
