RIOT SHIELD

I think I have a great project on my hands and it is a riot shield.

what do you think of getting some cardboard layering it more than once to reach the same layer of an actual riot shield or thicker having a viewing slot to see out of about the length of ballistic googles from side to side for the viewing slot, the shield would be wider than a regular man and have rubber on the edges and spray painted black. The reason for cardboard would be to simulate the actual deterioration of its ability to stay bullet resistant(not to mention it is cheap). The cardboard would be reinforced due to me never letting anything be just the norm and that regular cardboard being shot at by almost all the airsoft guns at the field it would cease to be in short order along with its holder. This will hopefully not cost me much because i don't have any money to waste so i will gather things slowly and be at the drawing boards theoretically perfecting things than with the help of my black betty have some home tests and then field test with you all. This base idea will change due to it being a rough draft and may end up as something completely diffrent than what i just described.

That would be cool and it'l take out the campers and supermans

something reffering to those two type of airsofters would be awesome to spray paint on it like krptonite or a team logo.

use platic you can see threw if it black wen you take ur head off they shot you up

my dad and me are trying to see if we can make one out of plecsy glass(not sure if thats how u spell it)

Yeah plexiglass is how you spell it I beleive but is one of the things to use to make a very good riot shield but I want to try and make a non see through shield but I may end up using plexi if my idea fails bu I think one quarter inch is the best to use for a plexiglass riot shield.

i wanna make a small one that i can put on my left forearm and use my free hand to shoot

plexiglass or acrylic is very expensive for a good thickness. if you get 1/8 inch which they have at homedepot will not last very long and will crack when a bb hits it, it is also $25 for a sheet of about 3ft. you would need atleast 1/4 inch thick but it is way more expensive

Yeah like I said the end result will be completely diffrent from my origional idea but what I really hope does come out is shield deterioration to a point which doesn't make it useless but just looked worn in and heavy use yeah it maynit make sense when said out loud but as long as I keep the idea in mind it works out

also i just made a gernade luncher using a adapter for my co2 pistol i can shoot like 25 bbs at once and hard to cant wait to take out campers and supermen oh and sanddragon read the message i sent u

lmfao a whole team with riot shields.....thats gonna suck for you guys though youre gonna be cumbersome and not only that but your shield idea is gonna fail against grenades and grenade launchers

Only one team is allowed the use of riot shields... they represent the LAW....

Opposition is the REBELs or street RIOT armed with airsoft MOLOTOV cocktails and guns!

Please keep Milisim senerios within some reason of realism, I have never heard of 2 oposing forces armed with riot shields!- should we allow it?

but the problem with that is it is expensive. you dont want to use a thin sheet like 1/8 it will break too easy

make sure you get 1/4 inch or maybe 1/2 inch would be better but its going to be heavy lol

dude you might as well make it out of wood.....you cant even shoot while being shielded, itd be considered blind firing
