Description
The Florida Renaissance Festival began 20 years ago as a one weekend event and has grown to encompass 5 weekends, President’s Day and Student Day(s) * Knights JOUSTING, SWORD FIGHTING, and performing TOURNAMENT GAMES in the tradition of the day by internationally recognized professional artists * BIRDS of PREY - in full flight by a Master Falconer * TWELVE STAGES - with continuous entertainment * Educational demonstrations - period trades and crafts * Hundreds of costumed PERFORMERS - lending atmosphere and authenticity to the event * Over 100 ARTISANS - demonstrating, exhibiting and selling their wares * Delicacies of the Middle Ages to tempt the palate - FOOD FIT FOR A KING * CORPORATE COURTYARD - sponsors display their products and services * Albertson’s KID’S KINGDOM – children’s play area, games, crafts, historical information and bounce house

Guests are welcome to come in full Renfest themed gear...weapons must be peace tied!

Quiet Waters Park is on Powerline Road just south of Hillsboro Blvd. in Deerfield Beach (just north of Ft. Lauderdale). County park fee of $1.50 per person Directions: Take the Sawgrass Expressway north to the end, then turn left onto Powerline Road, 1/4 mile on left is Quiet Waters Park. Take I-95 north to 10th St exit, go west to Powerline Road, turn right, 1/4 mile past 10th Street to the park. Take turnpike to Sample Road, go east to Powerline Road, then turn left, about 3 miles on left is the park. For those coming in from the North: From the Turnpike southbound - Exit at Glades Road, turn left and go east to Powerline/Jog Road, turn right and go south about 3 miles. The park will be on your right, just past Hillsboro Blvd. From I-95 southbound - Exit at Hillsboro Blvd.go west to Powerline Road, turn left and go south. The park will be on your right, just past Hillsboro Blvd.

I will be going to this fair on Feb 18th 2012 as I was advised to invite anyone else who wanted to partake in the festivities....I have posted the information and SandDragon will be there,,,You may even stumble upon one of my epic SandCastles.





Please refrain from buying toy catapults from the tent next door and laying siege to my fortifications as I will have to counter attack!

I Just Got back from The Renisance Fair... Its Pirate weekend And I was actually hanging out with my key west crew....we basically did pirate parades here and staggered around with the rest of the crew!

one of My old mates actually wants to start selling some of my famous ship in bottles too and even rent out some of my Remote controlled sailing vessels to be converted for piracy....HHHMMm OK....Money talks!



I also ran into a few Airsofters who you might know....one guy just bought some new pirate boots... now remember to contact me if ye wants to sell me yer old ones!

These fairs are full of interesting shows, shops and one of a kind artists...in many cases, you simply cannot buy it online if it going to be a hand blown glass bottle with your own personalized stamp or in my case, a Roman Crown that is made to exactly fit atop my head!

Last year I saw this one artist who made a fantastic metal Roman Emperor Larul but I couldn't aford to buy it....Upon arrival, I searched him out...He took my measurements and I had him build it on this very day!.....Ya...I got a big Ego and therefore I must have this Crown!

The event featured new acts and artists....Mermaids!

Actually I forgot his name!....but a few airsofters approached me and I am handicapped by the fact that I often forget players names, anyways I took a picture so maybe he will log on and see the shot I took...and he said he might sell me those other pirate boots too!

I happen to attend a lot of pirate parties in my beach proffession so it justifies why I collect so much of this kind of gear.
